 When I was little, I always jealous the people who have lots of knowledges, they can use the informations to get their goals and finish their dreams. But the people with nothing will have a hard time to find a job or even make some money. Literacy can change peoples' life. And my mom always told me the one who do not got educated will not have future, now I am pretty sure that is true.
     I started to read after I was familiar with most of the useful Chinese letters and I can remember the first long novel I have read was called <<Pilgrimage to the West>>, it is one of the most popular novel in China and it was wrote in 16th century, it is a real journey about a Buddhist who come from China and going to India for new Buddhist sutras. My family has a Buddhist religion so I was interested in this novel, even though there are some of the fiction elements in the book but they are even more interesting. After I read, it stirred my interest about the whole history of Buddhist, and made me want to travel to the west, go through the original way the buddhist went, so I also gathered lots of geography knowledges about India and Tibet. The Buddhist made me became to a better and devout person and the geography knowledges helped me got three hundreds on my geography test.
    I am rejoice I have a strong family can support me go to the college, so I can have a better education than others. And they support me to go catch the goals I set for my self, like plenty of hobbits, books I need to read and supplies I used for fun. Even now I can tell, I will not die by poor or hungry if I lost in some places for a long time, I can use my knowledges to make money, I can go teach English in China, and teach Chinese in other countries, I can make paintings on what ever things I have to sale. Those are all from the education I took, and from the literacy I have.
     So literacy will depend if the future is bright, a person should be skillful at one talent at least, that might will save the life at the emergency time. Literacy can enhance people a good qualities, can make people smarter, and give more chance for their lives.
