Write about literacy learning experience you have.

Everyone will not ever catch the
pace of technology development to become full-degree literate. We will always
learn something new in our life. That process is just making us approach
perfectly literate infinitely. I am or was not quite a literate person in my
life. Learning one new thing is very difficult for everybody because we have no
ideas and experiences about it before.
For me, getting to read a book or
in another words long passage are very tolerating experiences in my childhood
memory. As a young girl, I could not read any book until I graduated from my
elementary school. It was quite late for a normal student so I experienced the
same kind of shame as the ‘illiterate’ man faked to read newspaper in the bus.
In elementary school, I always faked to read books when others did. I held the
book in my hands and turned over page when others turned. Actually, I am proud
that I could graduate from elementary school without any reading experiences.
When I went to middle school, girls
around me started to read romantic novels and they often talked about the
content of each novel. If I wanted to make friends with them, I must have to
join the talking of their topic. I didn’t want to be an odd. So, one day I went
to bookshop and bought three romantic novels. I decided to read and catch up
with them. When I sat in front of my desk, I was a little afraid of these
books. It was the first time I wanted to read a book. I opened one of the
novels and began to read the first page. After reading several chapters, I
found that the story is very attractive and touching. Although I cannot remember
now what the story is talking about, the only thing I remember is I could not
fall asleep until I finished reading one story. Then, I could read another book
more easily and quickly. Later on, I
washed up my dread and could start to read novels at any time. But how about my
school textbooks? I still could not concentrate on the page or the sentence I
was reading. The words or contents in the textbooks were quite boring. I didn’t
have patience to understand and refine points from each paragraph. In the
second year of middle school, we started to do some physics and chemistry
experiments in class. I like practical exercise a lot. So I fell in love with
physics and chemistry in a very short period of time. I wanted to know more
about the chemical reactions and physical movements so that I had to read more
books to get more knowledge. Finishing reading about three chemistry books
within one week, I didn’t feel any bored and tired. So, I overcame the fear of
reading anything.
From my own experiences, we can
easily conclude the best way to learn literacy is motivation and interest.
Actually, the best method to learn anything is to find the motivation. If there
is not any motivation, we need to create one in that situation. For instance, I like chocolate very much. I
usually force myself to finish reading a chapter this night. If not, I cannot
eat chocolate for one week. It also need a strong perseverance to keep this
promise with myself.
