Delpit

Delpit

I assume that Delpit’s argument/accusation towards Gee is that learning and acquiring things are based on a person’s motivation and vision for one’s goal. Parents’ or the environments they belong to are not so relevance and also teachers’ inspiration on students seems to play a significant role in their success. The students in the photo, in which the African American man had succeeded in their career even though they were in ragtag group when they were young. I strongly agree to Delpit because gaining a general oneself level is the most important thing in order to be an adult, rather by acquiring/learning discourse by literacy. Of course, reading and writing is necessary for every one, though you can learn or acquire it whenever you encounter the problem.
