Delpit

Delpit disagrees with the fact that secondary discourses can not be taught by teachers or a person can not have a dominant discourses unless they acquire it at home. Delpit gives several examples about the people who were born in very poor families but then in the future they developed dominant discourses at school by their teachers. I strongly agree with Delpit about when he says The students who choose to listen to what their teachers tell the to do better, they are the ones who can develop dominant discourses outside of home.
I agree with both Gee and Delpit. If we talk about the average population then Gee is right because Delpit is talking about individuals who have made it.
